Yoga

Coming from a background in dance, I was initially drawn to yoga because I loved to stretch and move to music. I began taking classes at a local gym in my teens and developed a regular practice in college. In 2009 I completed my first certification in Sivananda yoga (RYT-200), which focuses on promoting a healthy yogic lifestyle through breathing, self-study, diet, asanas, and meditation.

After pursuing a high-stress career for more than a decade and balancing life through my practice, I decided to recalibrate in 2021 and devote time to teaching yoga again. For me, yoga is a way of life. It has transformed my body mind connection, and I have found balance, stillness, and self-love through my practice. I am committed to helping others find their own path to healing through yoga because it has made all the difference my life.

I have experience teaching Sivananda yoga, yin, vinyasa, slow flow, restorative, Hatha, and chair yoga. I received additional certification in 2023 in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Yin Yoga to be able to offer a more supportive space for deep healing on the mat. My approach to teaching is holistic and accessible to all, encompassing the mind, body and spirit in every session. I currently teach at Feel Free Yoga + Wellness Studio in Athens, Georgia, and I offer private lessons. To learn more about my offerings sign up below.
