Yoga

Coming from a background in dance, I was initially drawn to yoga because I loved to stretch and move to music. I began taking classes at a local gym in my teens and developed a regular practice in college. While in graduate school in New York, I deepened my practice with a guru who encouraged me to become a teacher. I became certified in Sivananda yoga (RYT-200) in 2009, which focuses on promoting a healthy yogic lifestyle through breathing, self-study, diet, asanas, and meditation.

After pursuing a high-stress career for more than a decade and balancing life through my practice, I decided to recalibrate in 2021 and devote time to teaching yoga again. For me, yoga is a way of life. It has transformed my body, mind, and spirit, and I have found balance, inner peace, and self-love through my practice. I am committed to helping others find their own path to healing through yoga because it has made a significant difference in my life.

I have experience teaching Sivananda yoga, yin, vinyasa, slow flow, restorative, Hatha, yoga for deep relaxation, and chair yoga. I received additional certification in 2023 in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Yin Yoga as well. My approach to teaching is holistic and accessible to all, encompassing the mind, body and spirit in every session. I currently teach at Feel Free Yoga + Wellness Studio in Athens, Georgia, and I offer private lessons in person and online. To learn more about my offerings sign up below.
